As of yesterday, February 17th, Â the 30 day water challenge was over! Yay! I am so proud of myself for taking on this challenge and completing it. To some reading, this challenge may seem simple or even silly, but honestly I learned a lot from it.
In this past month I’ve had to train myself. Train myself to stay focused. Focus to complete a goal daily. Focus to complete my goal of drinking a gallon of water a day wasn’t that easy. Drinking a gallon of water takes time and has to be done throughout the day. The focus comes in when you have a million other things going on on any given day, and you have to remember you still have a task that must be completed by the the end of it. Â The focus must come in to stop yourself from getting caught up in a hectic day, take a few minutes to stop, gather yourself, and do something healthy for your body.

By staying focused my body is loving me right now!  The increase in water my body has been receiving over the last 30 days has made me feel better all around. My energy and my attitude have benefited from drinking more water. Throughout the challenge I made it habit whenever I felt tired or cranky, I would make myself get up and drink 8oz of water. Seriously, once I got the 8 oz down, I would feel much better. I would feel motivated again to continue working and push through. That’s an awesome feeling.
There are a few other things I noticed:
*Healthier looking skin- It may be a mental thing, but my skin just looks more hydrated and my dark circles just don’t seem as dark anymore. My skin normally is very dry, especially around my nose. As of late I haven’t been having that issue.

*Cramps during my cycle- I’ve never been that women that has “bad” cramps, but I do notice when I’m cramping. They’ve always been bearable, but this month I had absolutely no problems.
* My snacking decreased- I mean, once you drink 30 oz of water in one sitting, your stomach will feel very full and you will reconsider if its necessary to put anything else in there! Lol

Overall, it was a good month, and  I want to continue to challenge myself to drink as much water as possible. I want to continue to monitor my ” sugary” drink intake also. I’m understand more and more the importance of water in my life. This is a healthy habit I will continue!
Until Next Time,
xoxo
