The month of December I completely fell off! Literally, all the positive habits I developed have gone by the wayside. I am tired of my excuses! TODAY I get back on TRACK!
5:00 AM #WakeUpCall:
I normally to wake up at 5:00 am every morning to begin my day. Yes, I had a morning routine, (in a later post I will explain my morning routine and the benefits of waking up early) I didn’t just wake up early for no reason. As of late, I’ve allowed myself to slip and sleep until 7:30-8:00am! The problem is my body will wake up naturally between 5- 6am every morning. It’s like clock work, my alarm (Night of your life – David Guetta Featuring Jennifer Hudson) goes off, but I will just turn it off, roll over and go back to sleep. I can’t do this anymore. I have to get out of bed & start my day!
#ButFirstCoffee
The darkness is throwing me and making it very hard to start my day. See! Another EXCUSE! Stop the MADNESS!!!! lol
#GrindTime
I made it a habit to hit the gym at least three times a week, but recently I completely started slacking on that too. I may go once or twice during the week but it’s not consistent. This week I am proud to say I have gone to the gym twice already. I’m a member of Merritt Athletic Club. This gym offers wonderful classes and has a lot of equipment available for use. In my opinion its a little overpriced, but overall a fun gym with plenty of locations throughout the Baltimore area. Y’all, I can’t take all the credit… I’ve had a little help to motivate me to get off my butt… I joined The Pact. The Pact is an app you can download on your smart phone that will hold you accountable for working out and eating healthier food. If I break the pact I made for the week then I have to pay, if I complete the pact then I get paid! I will write a review and let y’all know how its going after the first week. So far so good, it is very motivating!
#WannabeBlogger
This holiday season has drained me! Honestly, I’ve wanted to write but I was just tired. It’s crazy because now I’m sitting at my desk, in front of my computer typing this post and I feel great. I’ve realized all over again why I love writing. I’m not really writing blog posts or journaling for anyone else. It’s really for me. If my blog reached out to others and helps someone step out of their comfort zone to try and discover new things, that’s awesome & apart of my overall goal, but at the end of the day it is helping me the most . It is so relaxing… and allows me to be free. For me, journaling and creating new post are mediating. Writing is one of the best parts about waking up very early before anyone else is up. The house is quiet. I can hear myself think. No distractions at all. Its a fabulous feeling to not feel rushed…
Until next time,
Alysha

I can relate….this week I have been trying to get back on my schedule (the 2 hour delays were the devil). But I started so next week it should be business as usual.
