Summer is Almost Over!

I can’t believe it. Summer 2020 has come and gone so quickly. No worries though, you still have time to cross off an adventure or two from your bucket list before Tuesday, September 22nd.

Don’t over think it. Stop waiting and just do it!

Remember, your plans don’t have to be extravagant for them to be fun and worth your time.

Below are a few adventures that are perfect to add to your end of summer to-do-list. I’m focusing on squeezing as much outdoor fun into mine.

Go on a hike.

I’m most definitely going hiking a few more times before the weather gets cooler. I want to soak in the warm weather while I can before we have to start wearing sweatshirts and coats.

Go to a winery or brewery.

I didn’t hit up as many wineries or breweries this year because of COVID. Recently many of the wineries and breweries have re-opened and have social distance regulations in place.

Go on a picnic.

Schedule a social distance picnic with friends. Most parks are open and free to the public, plus well maintained. Pack food, drinks, a portable speaker, a blanket, & don’t EVER forget the bug spray, then just go!

Free outdoor fitness classes.

I love a good outdoors class! I’m planning to attend as many outdoor fitness classes as possible before most of my workouts have to exclusively be indoors because of the weather.

Enjoy the little things.

Waking up early, make coffee or tea, grabbing a book, and sit outside is my absolute favorite thing to do while it’s still warm. Not an early bird? Same thing can be done in the afternoon. Whatever works best for you, do it.

Go for an evening stroll.

Take a few evening walks around your neighborhood. Enjoy the warmth on your skin. Admire your neighbors plants and beautiful landscapes. Actually say “Hi” to your neighbors.

Day trip to the beach…

Or lake, river, pond. Whatever your heart desires. If you can get to the water within three (3) hours or less, make it a day trip. Just go!

However you decide to close out your summer, just have fun!

Until next time…
