Gifting D.I.Y Mason Jars are my favorite! They’re fun, personal, affordable, and totally adorable!
You don’t have to be a super creative, crafting wizard either to complete this DIY project. These jars are very simple to assemble. All you need is a mason jar, ribbon, and maybe a label. These may look fancy, but I assure you, there’s nothing fancy happening over here!
My favorite: THE SPA KIT
First, you have to decide on what size jar you are going to use. The jar in the above picture is a large mason jar that I typically purchase from Target for about $15.00. Whatever size you decide on will dictate what can be stuffed into the jar. To make this Spa Kit, fill the jar with everything a person would need to pamper themselves. Visit a store like target for this project because they should have regular and travel size products. The above jar was a total hit! Yours will be too.
Just thinking of you: THE CANDY JAR
Literally, the easiest jar of them all to put together. Just fill a mason jar with candy. I make these all the time for co-workers, family members, & friends. People love receiving these! I try to use candy that I know will be look pretty along with ribbon that is unique.
New Mom: MOMMY SURVIVAL KITS
I really like making mommy survival kits for baby showers, because while everyone else buys things for the baby, my focus is on the soon-to be-mother. This jar is fun to put together. Whatever store you decide to purchase everything from, I do suggest taking the mason jar with you to the beauty/toiletry section. This way you will be able to see exactly what will or will not fit into your jar. Its easy to over-purchase. Believe me, I’ve done it plenty of times! Go to a store that will have everything you need like travel size Lysol spray, tide sticks, mini deotarant, lotions, chapstick, mouthwash, mints, medicine, wipes, and other cool items. Target seriously has everything. You already know that though! I also pick the new mother up some mascara, lipstick, nail polish, and eyeshadow just to add a little glam to the kit.
So the next time you are struggling to think of a cool gift to give someone, why not try one of these suggestions using a classic vessel: the mason jar!
Until next time,
