Wednesday afternoon, I snapped a few pictures at Bookmakers Cocktail Clubs opening in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore and I wanted to share the photos with you.

I’ve been anxiously waiting for this bar to open all summer! I LOVE living in Federal Hill, but honestly I don’t really hang out that often socially in the local bars.

*Here are a few reasons why Bookmakers is an awesome addition to Federal Hill*

1.  I appreciate the charm that Federal Hill offers, but sometimes I get tired of the same ole thing. Most of the bars are similar in design with a very casual feel. My thought process for going out in Federal Hill goes something like this;” Im just going to grab a beer and eat wings… so there’s no need to get sassy, its just Fed Hill.” LOL – I am sure there are other people out there that do the same thing!
2.  I feel as though a lot of bar/restaurants in the area focus a lot of sports! I totally understand but, a I am beyond ready for something else!
3.  My friends and I always end up meeting in Harbor East or Fells Point for Happy Hour. Now we have a chic place right here in our backyards! We no longer have to have to uber it over to the other side of town every week!

Decor: Stylish. Elegant. Sophisticated. Chic.

Finally, a place in Federal Hill that you can actually get a little dressier if you want!!! The ambiance inside this place is classy but relaxed. Bookmakers has an upscale feel without the crazy upscale prices!

Cocktails: I ordered two different cocktails and both were wonderful. The bartenders were kind, knowledgable,  and helpful. My mixologist used colorful language to describe each drink that I asked about, and she made great recommendations. She real knew her stuff! It made me want to come back and try each cocktail because they all sounded delicious! She really assisted me in understanding the different ingredients that would be going into my drink and it made me really appreciate the cocktail.

Food: Bookmakers does offer appetizers along with a full dinner menu. I did not try any food Wednesday, but I do plan to go back and try a few items off the menu. I will definitely make sure to post about my experience.

Overall, I had a good time at Bookmakers. I  am very pleased with the service on opening day. I will definitely be going back soon to check the cocktail club out during peak hours to see if the service has held up and if the food is as fabulous as the cocktails.
